Zinny's Bug World is a fantastically whimsical universe that originated from my friend and I being bored while staying in a deserted Cornell campus during Spring Break. We did our makeup and had a photoshoot with my new fish eye lens that had just come in the mail. Interested by the lens' distortion and how funny we looked I took a stab at illustration for the first time. Later I fleshed out and created a wonderfully optimstic bug world, combining the outdoorsy, granola essence of Ithaca and the amusing and random occurrences of what sometimes feels like a small campus. Largely based on my personal experiences and the wonderful people I've met along my college career, I created this realm with an attempt to capture the spirit of friendship, optimism, and the absurd.
